About Us

The Golfview Neighborhood Association (GVNA) is a resident-driven, membership-based community organization dedicated to fostering a connected, informed, and thriving neighborhood in Tampa’s Golfview Neighborhood.

Our Mission

• Advocate for our neighborhood. GVNA serves as the official liaison between residents and local government agencies (city and county), representing our community’s interests on zoning, infrastructure, drainage, tree-care, sanitation, and other civic matters.
• Keep residents informed. We provide timely updates on neighborhood-related issues, city/county developments, and community news.
• Build community through relationships. Through social events — from porch parties to seasonal celebrations — welcome initiatives for new neighbors, and a neighborhood directory, we strive to strengthen connections among residents.

How We Support the Neighborhood

• City & County Liaison: We monitor local government and county activity, inform residents of relevant zoning or municipal issues, and provide contacts/resources for reporting concerns such as street repairs, drainage, sanitation, and tree care.
• Neighborhood Engagement & Communication: We maintain our website and distribute regular communications to keep all neighbors informed about social events, neighborhood news, and issues of shared interest.
• Welcoming New Neighbors & Building Community: Our “Welcome Wagon” and community-building events help new residents feel at home and promote a sense of belonging and neighborly trust.

Governance & Transparency

GVNA is governed by a Board of Directors, with clearly defined roles (President, Vice President, Secretary, etc.) published on our Board and Committees Page.

We operate under established bylaws and maintain a 2025 neighborhood map, our governance documents, and membership directory — all accessible to members for reference.

GVNA welcomes all residents who wish to contribute — whether through community events, civic engagement, or simply staying connected.
